I know the Christmas and gift giving season if over but I find this book super special. It is very thoughtful and it makes you relive memories in your head. I say the best gift is the gift of memories. This book is perfect gift for birthdays or even Valentines which is coming up very soon. I plan on filling the letters out and send them to my friends since I live an ocean away and we do not get to hang out as often as we liked.

Homemade Vegan Kimchi
Homemade Vegan Kimchi
I N G R E D I E N T
2 lettuce heads
1-2 green onion
1/2 carrot strips
5 garlic cloves
1/2 large onion
2 tbsp Korean Hot Pepper Sauce
2/3 cup red chili flakes
1 tbsp ginger
Water
Salt
I N S T R U C T I O N S
1. In a large bowl, soak the lettuce with salt. Press it down by covering it with a plate. Leave it for 1 hour.
2. Meanwhile, blend together the hot pepper sauce, chili flakes, garlic, ginger, and onion.
3. Once blended, mix it with the sliced strip carrots and chopped green onion.
4. Rinse the lettuce and pour in the blended mixture. Mix them together.
5. Place them into a tight sealed jar. Leave it in a dark, room temperature area for two days. (I also placed the jar into a zipped lock to prevent the smell from coming out. It's recommended but it's optional)
6. After 2 days, place the jar in the refrigerator for another 2 days.
7. Enjoy !
hugs and kisses

Human Acts
Human Acts
Firstly, I love the cover and secondly, I love the design of the pages. They look like old journal and have a very vintage feel to them. This book is very interesting and I can't want to finish the rest of the book. I got the book yesterday and I am already half way thought. It has the thrill and the mystery that is both very creepy but exciting. I have been watching a lot of Korean drama this past winter break and have been loving them. Now, I get to read a book from a South Korea author. #blessed I simply cannot summarize the whole book without giving away spoilers and I just can't do it because it's such a complicated book that just summarizing it would be doing it injustice. So I will let Goodreads do it for you:In the midst of a violent student uprising in South Korea, a young boy named Dong-ho is shockingly killed.
The story of this tragic episode unfolds in a sequence of interconnected chapters as the victims and the bereaved encounter suppression, denial, and the echoing agony of the massacre. From Dong-ho's best friend who meets his own fateful end; to an editor struggling against censorship; to a prisoner and a factory worker, each suffering from traumatic memories; and to Dong-ho's own grief-stricken mother; and through their collective heartbreak and acts of hope is the tale of a brutalized people in search of a voice.
An award-winning, controversial bestseller, Human Acts is a timeless, pointillist portrait of an historic event with reverberations still being felt today, by turns tracing the harsh reality of oppression and the resounding, extraordinary poetry of humanity.
