Healing with Raw Food
I have always been a fan of healthy eating and as you all know I am vegan now. So this book made my inner self throw glitter into the air. I loved this book ! It taught me more of raw food and their benefits. You know when people say something is good for you but you don't know why? This book explains it all ! Not only that, it also teach you how to combine and play around with raw foods to make them taste out of the world ! The pictures are so attracting as well. Lets face it, when we buy a cook book, we want to see pictures and I promise ya, this book have some pretty amazing ones. *wink wink*
I have personally tried some of the recipes and I swear it was absolutely delightful ! Recipes like the homemade almond milk, the pumpkin seed bars, the various smoothies ! I don't know where to start or end ! Its a book of wonder in your mouth. If you think eating healthy is gross, you definitely had not tried the recipes in this book !
Cacao Pumpkin Seed Bar :
6 cups of pumpkin seeds finely blended.
3/4 cups cacao powder
1 tablespoon cinnamon
1 teaspoon nutmeg
1 teaspoon sea salt
1/2 cup agar nectar (I used Stevie)
Antioxidant Tonic:
2 apricots
1 cup fresh figs ( or 1/2 dried)
1 cup strawberries
1/4 cups water
2 tablespoon almond butter
1 table spoon maca roots
1 teaspoon cinnamon
1 teaspoon dried vanilla bean (optional)
Its the simple recipes that makes it all more fascinating !
