The Court of Thorns and Roses
I am holding so much emotion right now. I have finals next week but I could not put this book down. It was unbelievable. Sarah's writing has a way to lure you into her little fingers and capture you to her land of fantasy. Once you are there, you do not even want to come back.Feyre is a human that has hated Fairies all her life. Her mother died when she was young and she promised her mother to take care of her father and her two sisters. Since then, Feyre was the one who haunts and puts food on their plates. One day, Feyre killed a beastly wolf. It was a grand prize for her but a few nights after, another beast came for his revenge. He gave Feyre two choices, to live with him forever at his part of the land or to walk outside the door and be killed and torn to pieces. Feyre has a hard, stubborn soul and would not die so easily. She follows him but later discovers his was not just an ordinary fairy. Despite her hate towards faeries for wanting to kill all human kind, Feyre fell in love with Tamlin, the High Lord of the Faeries.
When she discovers that Tamlin was cursed and the only one who could save him was her, she risks everything, even her own life to cure the love of her life.
I love the bold characters. Feyre is stubborn, fierce, brave, and determine but also has a soft side to her soul. Tamlin is very mysterious but romantic, you can never really read what he is thinking and whatever he does is sort of unexpected. Dangerous and protective.
This love story reminds me of beauty and the beast and I've been craving this sort of dangerous love in a book for a long time. If you have not read this book, you probably should get started because it's amazing.
hugs and kisses
