Thai Green- Garlic Chili

Thai Green Garlic Chili Sauce

I N G R E D I E N T

20 green chili
3 cloves of garlic
1/2 tbsp brown sugar
1/3 rice vinegar + water (half-half)

I N S T R U C T I O N

1. Cut off the ends of the chili. If you love spicy and out for a challenge then don't remove the seeds but if you just want the flavor then I advice you to remove half of the chili seeds, keeping the rest.
2. Crust garlic and remove the peels but do not chop them.
3. Put chili and garlic into a blender and blend.
4. Add the liquid gradually. If you don't like your sauce to be too liquid then add less of the liquid mixture.
5. Add in the sugar and blend for one last time.

Nourishing Meals

Nourishing Meal

This book was sent to me for an honest review and I honestly love cookbooks. I love to be adventurous in the kitchen and try new thing. Here is what I thought about the book:

The things that I don't like about the book is that there are very few pictures ! I love pictures that come with the recipe so that I know what I'm making and we eat with our eyes before our months, so having pictures would really attract visual people like me. Also, there's not much color to the book. Everything looks kind of like a textbook.

Other than that, what I liked about this book is that there are SO MANY recipes. It is insane! In addition to that, there are various cuisine too! There's Mexican, Chinese, Korean, anything, you name it! The recipes are also unique and very creative. You will sure to find something you want.

This cookbook is not 100% vegan. The front cover states that it's Dairy-free, Gluten-free, and Soy-free. The title is Nourishing Meals and I would say 70% of the book is vegan. So looking at it from the bright side, it's slowly introducing people that are not vegan to eating more vegan meals. The recipes are super easy and the book also states the importance of these foods for our body. It's a nice stepping stone for people to be vegan, that is for sure.

Overall, I like the book as an old fashion cookbook. Though I would like more pictures, the quality of the recipes cannot be ignored.

Ace: A Secret Baby Sports Romance

Ace: A Secret Baby Sports Romance

Scarlet and Ace was high school lovers. Scarlet was going to a music school for college and Ace was going to be a famous athlete. When Scarlet discovered she was pregnant, she left Ace and shuts him off for four years. When he came back to town, feelings reignited and their love was rekindled but when Ace found out that Scarlet had a daughter, most importantly, his daughter, things went down.

Yes, its a very fast read and the pace was fast but Scarlet and Ace have had a past so it's understandable. The author makes sure not to leave out the feelings they have for each other even after all these years. If you are looking for a quick read, this is perfect.

This book made my stomach turned like the feeling you get when your emotions are so raw and it sinks to the bottom of your stomach. My heart tightened when Scarlet and Ace was fighting. It was too much in such short time but their love was so strong and had me in awe.

The Illustrated Book of Sayings

The Illustrated Book of Sayings

If you are someone who loves to explore different cultures, then this is your book. If you are someone who loves motivational quotes or just quotes and sayings in general then this is your book.

In this book, it consists of different curious expression around the world and providing meaning to each phrase- analyzing them in deeper context. Like the phrase "you win some, you lose some," in Arabic means sometimes happy things will go our way or it will go entirely wrong. The thing is to look in the in between. Like how the Japanese view it by accepting the imperfect and by look for the beauty in imperfection.

There are lots more of these: from Italian to Mongolian to Yiddish to German, and even to Farsi. There's so much in this small simple book. The illusions are great and the message behind the text is amazing. Overall, it was an amazing read. It's entertaining, it's fun, and you get to learn a little more about other cultures.

Side note: the book is small and simple, the pictures are simple and look like kindergarten work (which brings back memories when your only dilemma was which color you should use for the sun, just saying), and the front and back cover of the book is so picture worthy and Instagram worthy.
