The Bane Chronicles Book Review

The Bane Chronicles Book Review

I love Magnes as a character and I adore his personality. This book screams HELL YEAH the first time I got it. But honestly, I was a little disappointed in the beginning. I wanted more Alex and more romance.  HOWEVER, after two chapters into the book, I was insane over it ! It was exciting and honestly a really satisfying good read. My favorite part would have to be chapters about Alex and also Clary. (of course)

This book consists of short stories about Magnes Bane's life so I cant really sum up what this book is about. Its a lot of things but it is also just one. It's not only the interesting and exciting life you get to read about (the parties, the magic life summoning demons); there're also part where you get to see who Magnes really is and what he stands for. He is a warlock, a Downworlders, but he has a soul full of pain and love. At times, you will feel so happy for him when he found someone to love but there are also times where you just want to jump into the book to hug and squeeze him with much love while grieving for his heartache.

Magnes is someone you would want as a best friend, a boyfriend, or just a listener. He is funny, loyal and always protects the ones he loves. He has the softest heart that was build around a strong and noble personality. There are people you spend time around with that makes you feel happy but Magnes makes you feel safe.

I am deeply scarred after finishing this book. I never want it to end!  I hate that when you love a book so much, you tend to read through the pages faster but once you reached the end, you regret not digesting every word in slowly. Argh. But all great things must come to an end.

If you love the Mortal Instrument and the Infernal Devices, then this book is a must read. It makes a well connection with both of the series. The whole Shadowhunter world is so much more complete with The Bane Chronicles.

City Of Heavenly Fire || Book Review

City of Heavenly Fire Book Review

I cannot believe I had not made a blog post of this book. Lets say, my whole fantasy world revolves around this story. Its so complete and a serious page turner. I remember siting on my bed and reading the first chapter, the next thing I know it was noon and I was almost finished with the book. It is such a beautiful and elegant story. Clare completes her whole series so well though of that it is mind blowing.

This book is about Clary and her friends fight the greatest evil they have ever faced: Clary's own brother. Sebastian Morgenstern is on the move, systematically turning Shadowhunter against Shadowhunter. Bearing the Infernal Cup (an holly angel object), he transforms Shadowhunters into creatures out of nightmare, tearing apart families and lovers as the ranks of his Endarkened army swell. Basically, he turns good shadowhunters emotionless, and cruel. They look and feel the same to their love ones but their heart is taken and ripen from them. Not only that, demons now walk free on land and the only ones  protecting the mortal, shadowhunters, are trapped in Iris. Clare has to kill her own brother to save the whole Shadowhunter world and to set things right.

I don't want to spoil a lot from this book and sure not going to tell you the ending because you truly have to read it and experience it in order to understand it. The bitterness of sacrifice, the ability to gain strength from people you love, the mysteries and hided secrets, the terror of losing what you believe in. Its definitely a must read. If you read this series and loving it, you would love The Internal Devices Series as well because in the end, the two series actually join together to form one. It is utterly breath taking. Hope you enjoy this and thanks for reading !

Mortal Instruments Series || Book Review

Mortal Instruments Series

This series got me to my toes ! It is so moving and so much is going on. Once you know what is going to happen, something else does. You can never scan through a page without flipping back and rereading it over again because EVERY word counts ! This series is obviously not finished. I have not get my little fingers on The City Of Heavenly Fires yet because believe it or not , it was all SOLD OUT !  This series is about a girl who's father is evil and is trying to destroy both the mortal and the shadowhuntes't world. She is off on a quest to stop her own father and met so so so SO many challenges. It was definitely ebbs on line.
