Four || Book Review

Four Book Review

You know the feeling when you connect to the characters in the book, you become part of them as they dwell closer to your soul? You know when you end a book, it's like saying goodbye to a friend because you will never know what will happen to them after the 'the end'? It has been two years since I've read Divergent and yesterday, I picked up this book and started reading it. I fell right into my feelings again. The connection slowly sparks as pages turn. It's like memories being replay but with new memories added on.

Four was an amazing book. It tells the story of Tobias before he met Tris. You get see his point of view as well as his thoughts and feeling; his pain behind his strength and his love behind his hate. This book was nicely written and connects perfectly with the Divergent series. When he met Tris, all the feels were rushing through my veins. I was on the edge of my seat, falling in love with the way they fall in love. Tobias makes me feel safe and when I read this book, I understand him more then I did when I read Allegiant. It was a magical book full of history, action, romance, and strength. The chemistry between the characters in this book was amazing and brutally unforgettable.

Tess was a rich girl who is taken cared by her brother after her parents died. Tess was smart, beautiful and perfect. One day, her brother got killed and she suspected Days. A young girl, nearly graduating, was out to find the country most dangerous and wanted person, Days, that the military could not even lay their hands on. Tho, Tess was smart, too smart. So she found him. Only then when getting to know him, she highly suspect that he was the one who killed her brother. But it was too late, armies, military and the government has already capture him because she lead them to him , because she was too cleaver that she was blinded by the truth. Days didn't kill her brother.

Holding on to what she believed in, she has to find a way to break Day out of jail. Tess trusted the government until she found out that the government were using them on test, using kids as experiments. It made her sick to find out that her own parents were killed because they went against the government. She was furious and that drive burn bright in her soul. She was now more determined to help Days, and to destroy the whole government.

People were willing to help but with a cost. Tess and Days has to find out who can be trusted and who was a piece of checker. Who was safe and who was the devil.

This book took me out of my seat! It is very exciting and the story line was absolutely memorizing. This book made me want to learn more of politics, which surprisingly, I never thought I would. A very nicely written book that is both moving and thrilling.

5 tips on How To Start Reading More for the New Years

Hello Beautiful People,

I have heard many people saying that they want to start reading more and at starters, they do, but that only lasted a few weeks. Some would say they "weren't born to read" while some would say that they simply have no time. But what I think is that you don't find the time to read, you simply make the time to read. Reading can be fun and enjoyable, trust me on this one.

Here are some tips to get started on reading for the new years.

1 . Don't be ashamed.

Sometimes, people don't intend to read because it's not "cool" You know whats not cool? Not been able to experience the world and the magic books brings. Its like taking you to a whole new world , escaping the reality.

John Green said, "Saying 'I notice you're a nerd' is like saying, 'Hey, I notice that you'd rather be intelligent than be stupid, that you'd rather be thoughtful than be vapid, that you believe that there are things that matter more than the arrest record of Lindsay Lohan. Why is that?' In fact, it seems to me that most contemporary insults are pretty lame. Even 'lame' is kind of lame. Saying 'You're lame' is like saying 'You walk with a limp.' Yeah, whatever, so does 50 Cent, and he's done all right for himself.”

2. Get a library card

Once you are committed to go to a public library, borrow one or two books.  I find that when you borrow a book, you are more likely to read it then when you buy them. This is because library has due dates for you to return the books you borrowed. Thus this makes you set a goal or a deadline. You will have to train yourself to read the book before the deadline while buying them you won't feel the need to do pretty much anything at all.

3. Join a book clubs

Book clubs usually helps you with understanding the story more in general. So when you join and participate in one, you are most likely to read the book before hand so you don't feel lost or left out.. If you don't know where to find a book club, check the local library, there will be book clubs and book evens where readers gather together to share their thoughts.

4. Find your interest

You cant be reading a book you have totally no interest in. It's like reading History textbook. Unless you like it then read it otherwise, don't waste your time. I find that when I am interested in one specific type of book, I could inhale it in one sitting. But if the book isn't my type of genre then you will find the book lying round my room for a week ! Thus, discover and explore different variety of genre, then decide what you like best and which you are most interested in.

5. Sign up for Audio Book !

Audio Book is basically a book but instead of reading it to yourself, someone else it reading it to you and the best part is, you only have to listen. I find it helpful to have audio book when your have a busy schedule. You could listen to the book while you get ready for work in the morning, you could listen to the book while you make dinner for your family, and you could even listen to it through your phone when you are driving and stuck in horrifying traffic. Its a good and easy way to get a head start in dipping yourself into the world of books. I will link the audio book website at the side bars so feel free to check that out !

These are my 5 tips on How To Start Reading More for the New Years ! I hope you enjoy and find this a little helpful. If you have more tips and tricks, comment below or send me a Tweet !

Bitterblue || Book Review

Bitterblue Book Review

This book is about Bitterblue becoming a queen she never wants to be. She was blinded by her nobles and her advisers that her kingdom was safe and had moved on from the pass. But little did she know. One day she sneak out and found a group a nice people. She create a new identity and tried to help them with their problems. Those people, Teddy and Saf, were trying to save the kingdom, repair what Leck had done and recover what was destroyed. But something was always chasing after them. Someone was always hunting them down, burning their houses and destroying the ones who seek the truth.

Bitterblue, Po, and Katsa search deep into the mystery and found nothing. Each turn was a dead end. Bitterblue learnt not to trust anyone because the closer she gets to someone the higher risk she face. Saf and Bitterblue got closer together and Bitterblue was deciding to tell Saf her true identity, his queen. But she suffer from dilemma. Once Saf knew, they had a large argument which sentence Saf to death. Luckily Saf could hide and had Bitterblue covering for him. Together, Po Katsa and some of Bitterblue most trusted friends help her relive the truth of what her father, Leck had done to the kingdom. Leck's death doesn't not break the compulsion but ignite it. In the end, Bitterblue found out that it was her noblest, her advisers and even her most trusted friend, Tield that had been responsible for all the murder, burning houses and kidnaps. Bitterblue learnt that it wasn't entirely their fault, it was a way for them to forget and heal from the pass and when someone tried to bring it back to live, they got triggered. They kill people who tried to learn the truth of the cruel past. The truth about them. Leck did not cut all the animals and the little girls. Leck watches as he forces his advisers, his nobles to do the dirty work themselves. The advisers and nobles were compelled and forced to cut, to rape, to torture the weak.

Bitterblue wanted to start her kingdom fresh by not covering up the pass but learn from it and heal every edge of the kingdom that Leck had destroy. Bitterblue character had definitely grown and became stronger through the whole series. This book is easy to read, and very exciting as well. What I love most is that it has a lot of mysteries and trilled that really draws you in to the book and makes you wanting more.

City Of Heavenly Fire || Book Review

City of Heavenly Fire Book Review

I cannot believe I had not made a blog post of this book. Lets say, my whole fantasy world revolves around this story. Its so complete and a serious page turner. I remember siting on my bed and reading the first chapter, the next thing I know it was noon and I was almost finished with the book. It is such a beautiful and elegant story. Clare completes her whole series so well though of that it is mind blowing.

This book is about Clary and her friends fight the greatest evil they have ever faced: Clary's own brother. Sebastian Morgenstern is on the move, systematically turning Shadowhunter against Shadowhunter. Bearing the Infernal Cup (an holly angel object), he transforms Shadowhunters into creatures out of nightmare, tearing apart families and lovers as the ranks of his Endarkened army swell. Basically, he turns good shadowhunters emotionless, and cruel. They look and feel the same to their love ones but their heart is taken and ripen from them. Not only that, demons now walk free on land and the only ones  protecting the mortal, shadowhunters, are trapped in Iris. Clare has to kill her own brother to save the whole Shadowhunter world and to set things right.

I don't want to spoil a lot from this book and sure not going to tell you the ending because you truly have to read it and experience it in order to understand it. The bitterness of sacrifice, the ability to gain strength from people you love, the mysteries and hided secrets, the terror of losing what you believe in. Its definitely a must read. If you read this series and loving it, you would love The Internal Devices Series as well because in the end, the two series actually join together to form one. It is utterly breath taking. Hope you enjoy this and thanks for reading !

The Maze Runner Series || Book Review

The Maze Runner Series

Thomas as mysteriously sent to a place that was in a middle of a maze. There were also a group of boys there. They were all surprised to see Thomas. Thomas, who was still dizzy in his mind of confusion, was not comfortable there. He found out that the boys had been there longer then he could ever imagine. They had divided themselves to groups and running the place like a city; cooks, builders, healers and what Thomas fancy most was the runners. The runners are selected to run into the maze when it is open to find any trace or clue of an exit and come back before the door closes. Thomas wanted to be a runner so he became one by proving himself worthy. It wasn't the fact that he didn't want to cook for the other or garden but something in his heart told him that he could find a way out and he knew it in his heart, just forgotten about it.

After a few weeks, a girl was sent to them. It was like having unicorns for your birthday, it doesn't happen, not at all. The boys all got curious but what made them more suspicious is that the girl knew who Thomas was. When she got there, she recognized Thomas immediately. Thomas had no memory of her. The girl too did not know her own name so that was that. A pile of questions.

The end, they did find a way out but not many made it. It was a bloody ride. But once they were out, Thomas wasn't sure if being out of the maze was a good idea anymore. The world was different. Everything changed. The weather changed dramatically from hours to hours. There were people too, but wither they were sick or going to be sick. There was this disease going on where it gets to the brain of people. when you get this disease, it eats up your brain and you slowly go insane. Its like the walking dead.

Thomas then got back his memories. SPOILER ALERT Tomas was in a mission for an evil government But he saw the wrong in doing what the government wanted so he created a cure. However the government locked him in the maze and washed his memories. SPOILER ALERT Thomas and the boys went on a mission to find the cure which, figure, is difficult.

I personally like the basic of the story, about getting out of a maze and finding a cure but the downer was that it was too draggy and long. Also it was so scary and its like a race literally. But if you like a good run and also action, I assure you there are a lot, a lot of action.

Shatter Me Book Series || Book Review

Shatter Me Book Series

This series is about a girl, Juliette, who can make people feel pain or even kill someone with her touch. She was then locked away for ages and I MEAN AGES. she hasn't touch anyone since. Then one day someone was sent to stay in her cell. She was nervous., She hasn't interact with anyone since she was first put away. His name was Adam. Adam on the other hand was immune to her touched. so after spending some time with Juliette. Adam was able to unlock the closed heart of Juliette that was fragile and afraid of herself.

One fine day, (not really) Adam and Juliette got out of the cell and found their way out. But the world was not the same as Juliette thought. It was cold and dark. It was like every life on Earth was suck out , leaving a empty shadow wondering on earth. Juliette found out that the governor who lock her out wasn't in town so his son, Warner, took over for a while. Warner was very interested in Juliette. Not just because of her power but he was also interested for her heart. However, in a short time, Juliette has fallen for Adam and so too for him. Adam and Juliette ran away to Adam's old house after escaping from Warner.Adam has a little brother James who was left all alone in the house. The neighbors was still around but there were specific time for them to come out and times for them to be shut behind their front doors.

Adam, Juliette and James had to run away so that Warner wound not hunt them down. Unexpectedly, they found a group of rebellions. So they joined force going against the government. Juliette then found out that she was not the only one with supernatural powers. They were many like her and for the first time, she felt normal, she felt safe.

Then the war begin, Justice vs Power.

I would say this book has a very solid background and foundation. The story has a nice flow and is really beautifully written. The author knows how to flatter her thoughts to words. The only down side I would say is maybe the character, Juliette. I don't know how to say this but when you read it you will understand. She is sort of childish but I have to give it to her since she was locked out for most of her life.
