Junie B., First Grader (at last!) Audiobook plus 15 Songs from Junie B. Jones The Musical
Junie B., First Grader (at last!) Audiobook plus 15 Songs from Junie B. Jones The Musical
Am I the only one who is excited? I think not. If you are a 90's kid, you will know how big Junie B. was. I remember when my sister was so obsessed with her books and she collected them, we have to buy a whole new bookshelf just for Junie B. books. This would be the best and ultimate holiday gift for her and for anyone who was a Junie B. fan. I believe we should all do a dance around this book because it's back and all the memories of childhood just resurface.

Besties
Besties
It's a cute little book. It talks about what best friends do and when you read it, you will have a specific person in mind, that is when you know she/he is your best friend. The illustrations and art in this book is like a children's coloring book. It would be a great book for your best friend for the holidays or for a kid so that they will understand the meaning of friendships and such.

Rebel of the Sands
Rebel of the Sands
This book was a quick easy read. It was beautifully written and it's an adventure in your own room. The mystery, action, and adventures in this book bring you places but the emotions take you somewhere out of the world. I felt so connected to the characters. This book has a touch of magic with a dust of reality and a sprinkle of fantasy. It speaks to the problems we see and experienced in reality but wrap it together with the wonders of magic and fantasy. Can we also talk about the cover? It's beautiful. If you love The Court of Mist and Fury or The Wrath and Dawn, then this book is the perfect fix.
I don't think I can summarize such an amazing and wild book so I will let Goodreads summarize it for you. Follow me on Goodreads to see what I am reading !
She’s more gunpowder than girl—and the fate of the desert lies in her hands.
Mortals rule the desert nation of Miraji, but mystical beasts still roam the wild and barren wastes, and rumor has it that somewhere, djinni still practice their magic. But there's nothing mystical or magical about Dustwalk, the dead-end town that Amani can't wait to escape from.
Destined to wind up "wed or dead," Amani’s counting on her sharpshooting skills to get her out of Dustwalk. When she meets Jin, a mysterious and devastatingly handsome foreigner, in a shooting contest, she figures he’s the perfect escape route. But in all her years spent dreaming of leaving home, she never imagined she'd gallop away on a mythical horse, fleeing the murderous Sultan's army, with a fugitive who's wanted for treason. And she'd never have predicted she'd fall in love with him... or that he'd help her unlock the powerful truth of who she really is.

Thai Green- Garlic Chili
Thai Green Garlic Chili Sauce
I N G R E D I E N T
20 green chili
3 cloves of garlic
1/2 tbsp brown sugar
1/3 rice vinegar + water (half-half)
I N S T R U C T I O N
1. Cut off the ends of the chili. If you love spicy and out for a challenge then don't remove the seeds but if you just want the flavor then I advice you to remove half of the chili seeds, keeping the rest.
2. Crust garlic and remove the peels but do not chop them.
3. Put chili and garlic into a blender and blend.
4. Add the liquid gradually. If you don't like your sauce to be too liquid then add less of the liquid mixture.
5. Add in the sugar and blend for one last time.
hugs and kisses

Nourishing Meals
Nourishing Meal
This book was sent to me for an honest review and I honestly love cookbooks. I love to be adventurous in the kitchen and try new thing. Here is what I thought about the book:The things that I don't like about the book is that there are very few pictures ! I love pictures that come with the recipe so that I know what I'm making and we eat with our eyes before our months, so having pictures would really attract visual people like me. Also, there's not much color to the book. Everything looks kind of like a textbook.
Other than that, what I liked about this book is that there are SO MANY recipes. It is insane! In addition to that, there are various cuisine too! There's Mexican, Chinese, Korean, anything, you name it! The recipes are also unique and very creative. You will sure to find something you want.
This cookbook is not 100% vegan. The front cover states that it's Dairy-free, Gluten-free, and Soy-free. The title is Nourishing Meals and I would say 70% of the book is vegan. So looking at it from the bright side, it's slowly introducing people that are not vegan to eating more vegan meals. The recipes are super easy and the book also states the importance of these foods for our body. It's a nice stepping stone for people to be vegan, that is for sure.
Overall, I like the book as an old fashion cookbook. Though I would like more pictures, the quality of the recipes cannot be ignored.

Ace: A Secret Baby Sports Romance
Ace: A Secret Baby Sports Romance
Scarlet and Ace was high school lovers. Scarlet was going to a music school for college and Ace was going to be a famous athlete. When Scarlet discovered she was pregnant, she left Ace and shuts him off for four years. When he came back to town, feelings reignited and their love was rekindled but when Ace found out that Scarlet had a daughter, most importantly, his daughter, things went down.Yes, its a very fast read and the pace was fast but Scarlet and Ace have had a past so it's understandable. The author makes sure not to leave out the feelings they have for each other even after all these years. If you are looking for a quick read, this is perfect.
This book made my stomach turned like the feeling you get when your emotions are so raw and it sinks to the bottom of your stomach. My heart tightened when Scarlet and Ace was fighting. It was too much in such short time but their love was so strong and had me in awe.

The Illustrated Book of Sayings
The Illustrated Book of Sayings
If you are someone who loves to explore different cultures, then this is your book. If you are someone who loves motivational quotes or just quotes and sayings in general then this is your book.
In this book, it consists of different curious expression around the world and providing meaning to each phrase- analyzing them in deeper context. Like the phrase "you win some, you lose some," in Arabic means sometimes happy things will go our way or it will go entirely wrong. The thing is to look in the in between. Like how the Japanese view it by accepting the imperfect and by look for the beauty in imperfection.
There are lots more of these: from Italian to Mongolian to Yiddish to German, and even to Farsi. There's so much in this small simple book. The illusions are great and the message behind the text is amazing. Overall, it was an amazing read. It's entertaining, it's fun, and you get to learn a little more about other cultures.
Side note: the book is small and simple, the pictures are simple and look like kindergarten work (which brings back memories when your only dilemma was which color you should use for the sun, just saying), and the front and back cover of the book is so picture worthy and Instagram worthy.

Elude and Empire (Eagle Elite #6-7)
BEWARE: There is no happy ending.
WARNING: You will cry. I have no doubt.
WARNING #2: It's safe to get your blanket now before you read the book.
Elude (Eagle Elite #6)
In the sixth book, Elude, Sergio was assigned to keep Andi safe. In order to do so, he has to marry her. But this marriage is not for long. Andi has leukemia and only had 6 months left. Was so sure that he would not fall for her, he did. Andi made him vow to him on their first day of marriage to not ever cry over her. Sergio never thought he would find love and when he did, his love was already about to end. It was not fair for him nor Andi. They love truly, deeply, and madly. The 6 months was either a gift or a curse. The 6 month was.. not enough. Their love story just ended too early. The ending was devastating, heartbreaking, and depressing. I cried a river, literally, and I am going to name the river, Andi.
Empire (Eagle Elite #7)
After Andi died, Sergio was lost. She was his everything. Now he lost her, he didn't know what to do. When Val came into his life, he didn't know what he was feeling. The tinkling inside of him felt wrong. He didn't want to betray Andi but Val was different. Then, Sergio saw a video from Andi to him and Val. It was her plan all along. For Sergio and Val to be together. It will all make sense when you read it but it's still heartbreaking and sad. Sergio deserves a big, warm hug.

SHE IS BACK !
SHE IS BACK !
Cara Reilly suddenly disappeared a while ago and now she is back. She announced on Facebook that she will be writing again and apologized for the long wait as well as disappearing. However, life is hard so who could blame her of she needed time out to settle down and to deal with herself first? We all have those times. Life does not come with instructions guys and sometimes, shit gets real. I also hope that none of her readers are hard on her for taking the time out. Nonetheless, I'm so happy she is back and that she will be writing again.
I cannot tell you how excited I was am. I'm still fizzling inside over my over excitement. I love this series and the last book, Bound by Temptation, left me starving for more.
The fifth book will be out December 21, 2016, but the date is still not set yet. It's an early Christmas guys ! I can't wait !
Bound by Vengeance (Born in Blood Mafia Chronicles #5)
Growl
He’d never had something to himself, never even dared to dream about owning something so precious. He was the unwanted bastard son who’d always had to content himself with the leftovers of others. And now they’d given him what only a few weeks ago had been out of his reach, someone he wasn’t even allowed to admire from afar, one of their most prized possessions. Thrown at his feet because he was who he was, because they were certain he would break her. He was her punishment, a fate worse than death, a way to deliver the ultimate punishment to her father who had displeased them so greatly.
Cara
She had always been the good girl. It didn’t protect her.
She didn’t know his real name. People called him Growl to his face, and the Bastard behind his back. Both were names he couldn’t possibly have chosen for himself. His eyes were empty, a mirror to throw back her own fear at her. He was a brutal hand of the Las Vegas Camorra.
And now she was at his mercy.

Think Happy
Think Happy
This book is all about happy and motivational things in life which I find very fitting to this month which is the Mental Awareness Month. I am a strong believer in mental health. I think that, just as important as food and values, mental health shapes our everyday lives. It explains our past, construct our present, and path our future. Mental illnesses is never a weakness. It's like a disease that we have no control of. It's not a choice. No one sign up to be depressed. No one signed up to have anxiety. People with mental illnesses should not be ashamed. The way I view it, people with mental illness are strong, or even stronger than others because we suffer every single day and have demons in our heads, yet we still power through, we still come out strong, and most importantly, we never surrender. In this book, there's so many inspirational quotes and sayings. It also describes to you what the saying means and the message behind them. It's like a personal therapy book. Don't spend $200 per hour if you don't have the money or the time. Get this book and read it every morning. You will feel instantly better. This book not only spreads positive vibes but also brings hope. Start a day with a smile, even if you don't feel like it. Soon, the smile will not only brighten today, but tomorrow.

Eagle Elite, #1-3 (Elite, Elect, and Entice)
Eagle Elite, #1-3 (Elite, Elect, and Entice)
The Eagle Elites had me crying and breaking. It was brutally amazing. The 6th book had me the most. It tore my heart into pieces and handing them back on a silver platter. It surely promised a happy unhappy ending. What even right? Here, I'll review the first few so this post won't be a million years long. There will be a part 2 and part two will be...The first two books were about Trace and Nixon. Nixon is the bad ass leader of the whole group of the school. He and his three friends: Chase, Tex, and Phoenix. They own the school. they rule it. Trace didn't know that he actually really owns the whole school. Nixon was giving her a hard time and she thought it was because she was the new girl. However, that was far from the truth. She was someone. Someone important and Nixon vowed to keep her safe. Hearts were touched. When Chase, Nixon's best friend, too fell in love with Trace, Nixon had to step aside. Not because he was afraid of hurting her or his best friend, he would most likely just pull the bullet on Chase, but because a war was coming and in order to keep Trace safe, he has to keep his distance. When he couldn't be there to protect her, he knew who would. He knew who would value her as mush as he did and who would protect her with his own life as he would. Chase.
Trace falls into a dilemma between loving her soulmate and loving her best friend. Chase was always there for her. Always. He was sweet and kind to her from the beginning since she came to the new school. But it was Nixon that owned her heart and soul. She knew it but it was hard to see thought it after what Nixon put her thought. In the end, she broke both their hearts. (Yes, I told you the end but is it really the end? It's not. Spoiler. Someone once told me, it's not the ending that we are looking forward to, you probably would have guessed that Trace will end up with Nixon when I first introduced them to you. It's the journey that matters. Sorry, I have been taking philosophy classes and yeah.. that explains this)
Honestly, I don't really like Trace. I don't like how she put Chase into misery and how she puts Nixon into such position. It was not fair for their of the boys. If she loves them both, she should make up her mind.
The third book is about Chase. After having his heart broken by his best friend and his lover, he lost hope. He didn't know if he could ever love again. Until she came. Mil. She was dangerous. She has secrets. When she was fourteen, Chase took her. Since then, she hated him because she was only his one night but he was her forever. Well, that's what she thought when she was fourteen. Now, she is in danger and Chase is the only one who can protect her. Chase is willing to accept her just to get over Trace. When he agrees to marry her, they made it clear that there was nothing more. Mil knows who holds Chase's heart, she doesn't push or try to claim what wasn't hers. But in the end, feelings were touched and Chase found out Mil's secret. Since she was fourteen, Mil has been suffering from her own demons. The secret nearly broke him because he walked out on her when she needed him most. He is determined to safe her now and to keep her safe with his own life. She is his everything and he is hers but when Mil's secret knocks on the door and demands payment, both of them will die because it meant war.
I love Mil's and Chase's love story. It's mature yet fun. They came together under an agreement but left with a promising love. I was happy that Chase got over Trace and that he found someone that was for him. Mil is a strong woman and Chase is.. well.. he is Chase. They are each other's missing pieces and I love that.
