Command Me

Command Me

Who doesn't want to be a princess? No that was the wrong question. Who doesn't want to fall in love with a prince?

Clare falls in love with someone she could never have, someone she could never be with, and someone who will destroy her like he promised. Alexander, the prince of England, has Clare on her knees for her. Alexander is crazy over her too and the two of them can not take their hands off each other, literally. However, the royal family disagree with Clare and urge Alexander to find a Royal princess, not just some degree student. Things fall apart and the world Clare built in her head with Alexander is torn to pieces.

This book :

Alexander is the British Christian Grey. He is a freaking prince. Like Christian, Alexander, too has his own dark secret and demons that haunt him in his head. Ever since, Princess Sarah, his sister, passed from a car accident, Alexander has not been the same. He doesn't love anymore and doesn't trust that he is capable of love. Clare is so innocent, full of surprises, and utterly brave. She has a past with eating disorder which I can relate to. Even if you don't have a history of eating disorder, Clare is very easy to relate to in the book. She wants what all women want, love.

If you just finished Fifty Shades, this book will be amazing and satisfying. If you read Fifty Shades before and wish for more, this book will fill you up, no doubt.

What's with women desiring for dark love?

Crown's Game

Crown's Game

I did not expect this book to be so consuming. Gosh! I feasted on the book like a cannibal. It was marvelous. The characters felt so real and were easy to connect to. The author knows how to create the scene and make her readers imagine the situation in their minds as if they are there themselves. The feeling, romance, betrayal, fear, and power felt so mystical like I can enchant something with a snap of my fingers myself. The author did not just write about power and magic, she gave them to the readers.

This book is about the Crown's game. Each country is only allowed to have one enchanter. Russia, where the story took place, have two, though they do not know that until the time comes when they have to play the game. The game's rules are fairly simple. Kill or be killed. The strongest enchanter will kill the other. Only one can survive. However, what happens when the enchanters both fall in love? Can they kill each other? The Prince knows both the enchanters, one is his best friend and the other is his love. Once he becomes the king, can he watch them slaughter one another and can he live without one or the other?

This book had me

WHY?! ASDFHDGJFLHJK

It's incredible. If you like the Red Queen, The Hunger Games, or the Court of Mist and Fury, then it's a mash of everything. However, it's not like a mimic of them, it has it's own identity and it's own twist and turns. The story blooms itself.

The world Evelyn created in this book is so complete. Readers would love to dive into her world without hesitation but would find themselves stuck in her fantasy for it's one that no one would want to leave.

The Rose and the Dagger

The Rose and the Dagger

I didn't know what I was expecting but it wasn't this. I was quite disappointed in this book.

Because:
1. There were not as many romance as I would like.
2. The curse was broken almost too easily and it sounded fake to me.
3. The ending was sweet but I guess I expected more after the first book. It seems like the author may have rushed the ending but I don't know.

What I do like about this book is how well the characters evolved and became stronger. They each have their own voice that is very different and it takes a lot for a writer to develop such complete characters whiles joggling between them when writing. I also love how the story somehow teaches us to forgive but never forget and how to be selfless when it comes to love ones.

I don't want to give anything away but the story was so well built in the first book that I expected more dramatic ending. But, of course, I do have a weird taste in mystery, thriller, and drama. I want them to either go overboard or to never surface on shore.

It was a good and easy read. Would definitely recommend it if you loved the Court of Thorns and Roses series because they both revolved around the story of Beauty and the Beast.

The Illustrated Compendium of Amazing Animal Facts

The Illustrated Compendium of Amazing Animal Facts

I absolutely adore this book. It's so cute and funny. It would be a great summer to go read on a long car trip where you can tell to your friends and family some fun facts about animals.

There's a lot of interesting facts about animals that you wouldn't even begin to think about. The illusionist in the book are also great.

Here are some facts that you might not know about your favorite animal:

1. The skin of Panda under it's black fur is black and pink under the white fur.
2. Owls can rotate their heads 230 degrees but cannot move their eyes.
3. Owls have 3 eyelids: one when they blink, one when they sleep, and one for cleaning their eyes
4. Mosquitoes not only bite you but also pee on you.
5. Zebras are actually black with white strips and not white with black strips.
6. It is physically impossible of a pig to look up in the sky.

Want more? Then you might want to get this book because it is pretty awesome. It's fun, it's interesting, and very unique. I learn more about animals then i did in my science class.

The Court of Mist and Fury

The Court of Mist and Fury

My heart breaks so many times in this book. The emotional roller coaster is real. Feyre died in the first book but came back to life as a High Fae. You might think Feyre will be with the beast but the beast turns out to be blinded by love. Tamlin locked Feyre in her castle because he believes it was dangerous for her, and it was. But Feyre was not going to let anyone lock her out, she wants to help, she wants to save the people, and after all she has done and gone through, she wants to matter. She escaped with the help of Rhys. The were enemies once but grew fonder together. Feyre got to know a side of him that no one knew.

I wanted Feyre to be with Tamlin so badly but after spending time with Rhys, I fell in love with him myself. Every part of me knows Tamlin is the right one and in beauty and the beast, Feyre and Tamlin are meant together. But there is something about Rhys, he is willing to do anything for Feyre but also respect her as a person. He and Feyre have little fights all the time but it's hilarious. He is utterly romantic and knows how to make a girl grin in her sleep.

The ending of the story had me in awe. I still could not wrap my head about what has happen. The second book was a trap and the third book will be a murder to all your feels.

The Court of Thorns and Roses

The Court of Thorns and Roses

I am holding so much emotion right now. I have finals next week but I could not put this book down. It was unbelievable. Sarah's writing has a way to lure you into her little fingers and capture you to her land of fantasy. Once you are there, you do not even want to come back.

Feyre is a human that has hated Fairies all her life. Her mother died when she was young and she promised her mother to take care of her father and her two sisters. Since then, Feyre was the one who haunts and puts food on their plates. One day, Feyre killed a beastly wolf. It was a grand prize for her but a few nights after, another beast came for his revenge. He gave Feyre two choices, to live with him forever at his part of the land or to walk outside the door and be killed and torn to pieces. Feyre has a hard, stubborn soul and would not die so easily. She follows him but later discovers his was not just an ordinary fairy. Despite her hate towards faeries for wanting to kill all human kind, Feyre fell in love with Tamlin, the High Lord of the Faeries.

When she discovers that Tamlin was cursed and the only one who could save him was her, she risks everything, even her own life to cure the love of her life.

I love the bold characters. Feyre is stubborn, fierce, brave, and determine but also has a soft side to her soul. Tamlin is very mysterious but romantic, you can never really read what he is thinking and whatever he does is sort of unexpected. Dangerous and protective.

This love story reminds me of beauty and the beast and I've been craving this sort of dangerous love in a book for a long time. If you have not read this book, you probably should get started because it's amazing.
