Ways to Ease Bloating || Healthy Eats

Hello Beautiful People !

Ever feel bloated for no reasons? You ate healthy, you exercise but it never seems to go right?
Here are ways to reduce bloats:

  • Walk more ! Just by walking, your body relaxes and stresses at the same time. I find that you get less constipated when you walk more and the major reason why you are bloated is because you are constipated and have poor digestive track.

  • Cardio. Cardio doesn't have to be long and boring . I like to cycle and run with music on and with friends and family of course !

  • Roll ups. Need to stay in from the weather? Have an exam and need a review but have no time for outdoor activities? Well, roll out your yoga mat and start doing crunches, have your book or laptop beside you if you want to study or watch videos. This makes the work out more fun and before you know it you are doing 8 minutes of crunches in one go.

  • Plank ! Plank plays a major part in toning your body up for sure.

  • Clean your house. Take one day and do house chores. It doesn't have to be heavy and hard. You could vacuum or mop the floor. It is all a good way to get your body moving.

  • Eat more fiber ! For example, broccoli, beans, apples and oatmeals are easy ways to add fiber in your diet.

  • Snack on fruits or trail mix. Its filling and good for you. I like having an orange or pumpkin seed for snacks. Sometimes, I make hummus to go along with apples. When you know how to make healthy snacks, there's no turning back. They are not only good for you but that are so delicious !

  • Add good fats in your diet ! Avocado, nuts and seeds are all good source of healthy fats.

  • Cut out Junk. One phrase, you cant out run a unhealthy diet.

  • Fish ! Fishes are known for their omega fatty acids that are belly fat busting. It actually breaks the belly fats and not let your body store them as excessive fats.

  • Water ! Sometimes, your body is bloated not because you have a lot inside but because your cells are dehydrated. So drink up !

  • Lift weights ! I cant tell you how good lifting weight feels. The sore and pain is so satisfying and addicting. Plus, the more you lift the faster your metabolism. And don't be afraid that your will get too bulk. The real reason why people get bulky is maybe they took steroids but other then that, you will be good. 

  • Sleep. I have not give sleep the credit it should have. After months of sleeping early, I not only find my skin and body feels a lot fresher. It is also said that when you have enough sleep, you tend to eat lesser, as in, you eat when you are hungry and stop when you are full.

Heir Of Fire || Book Review

Heir Of Fire

The third book of the throne of glass series and oh my god it gets better and better. This book has less of the romance between the characters but a lot of action so if you are the mighty fighty type then you will love this book.

I find that in this book, its more of how Celaena learn her true self and find herself in the darkest path imaginable. While on a mission to search for three magical keys, she discover her history, her parents and her land. She met enemies, friends and even her blood.

I could tell you much about this book because really it's all about finding who this Celaena character is and how she come to learn about her powers and control them. Its where the prince learn about his kingdom and the man siting on the throne who he called father. Its about Chaol facing his faith and protecting what he believe in. nonetheless, it was a book full of adventures, mystery yet to be discovered and magic right at the edge of each word.

Berry Green Smoothie

1 1/2 cup unsweetened vanilla almond milk
1 1/2 cup packed baby spinach
1 1/2 cup frozen berries (I like to mix blackberries with raspberries)

Tropical Smoothie

1 1/2 cups pineapple
1 orange
2 kiwis

Morning Blueberry Muffin Smoothie

1 1/2 cup orange juice
2/3 cup fresh or frozen blueberries
1/2 cup rolled oats
2 tablespoons flax oil
1/2 teaspoon ground cinnamon

Crown of Midnight || Book Review

Crown of Midnight

The first book led me out of my seat, this one left me standing and jumping on a roller coaster ride.

It . Was. AMAZING ! 

I definitely saw how the characters grew stronger and wiser. This story contains so much mystery with a dash of humor and a sprinkle of romance will definitely that drive you insane!

So in this book Celena became the King's Assassin and she were to kill whoever the king demand without questions. The problem is, she never killed anyone of them. She gave them two choices, either flee and never be heard again or she will rip their heads off and serve it to the king. All choose to escape. She knew by doing this, it meant her life and Chaol's would be in danger but she just could not cold heartily kill the innocent.

This book was about Cleana discovering the deep dark secret of the castle and of herself. She found tunnels, ancient books and a portal to the other world. Someone was opening a portal to control the whole kingdom, and that someone was the king. She knew in her guts that she had to do something but she was just one against an army. She trusted no one , not even the prince who loved her dearly, not even Chaol who she fell for deeply. The lesser they know, they safe they were.

The Prince however, had his secret himself. In a long line of family tree, he inherited the family magic. The magic that Celaena was wondering and aimlessly questioning about. When a portal blooming opened, a pale ugly creature stepped into their world. Celaena suddenly turn, to a Fae. Fae is a magical creature that could change forms, like shape sifters basically. And Celaena was the last of her family. She saved Claols and the prince's life but almost took her own.

Despite learning her turn identity, she was sent to Wendlyn, a land full of magic, by the king. The king wanted to crush Wendlyn down and take over the throne. Little did the king know that he was sending back their long lost princess who was told to be dead and drown in the icy ocean. Little did he know that he was sending Celaena to her greatest, most powerful allies against him.

Throne of Glass

She is a killer, an assassin but she was only human.

This book. O M G. I cant even. 

Her name was Celana Sardothien. She was the famous killer and was sent to a death camp. The camp was a torture, scaring you with hot blade by day, drowning you with cold salt by night. Till one day, the prince summon her. The king was searching for a assassin to do his dirty work, in return, she will gain her freedom in 4 years. It was a line between being in a death camp and being a murder. 

When she got to the castle, she realized that she was not the only assassin who the king hire. There were more and all men. They were to go against each other and the best wins. So, through her time at the castle, they took training and testes. Celana was guarded by the Castle Captain of Guard, Chaol. Chaol was in his early 20s, tall, handsome and bold. But Celana's heart was capture by the prince instead and so he to her. They got along well but deep down, Celana knew that it was impossible. He was the prince and she was a killer.

Aside from the love triangle, Celana face a bigger problem. As days went by, assassin begin to disappear and was  killed brutally. Heart ribbed out, neck tore apart, brain suck out and blood flows like river. Celana had a vision of demons, crawling their way in to the world. Someone was calling for them and creating portals. The demons wasn't just eating people up randomly, there was a sequence. 

And she was up next.

This book led me out of my chair ! It took my breath away and left me heart wondering, wanting for more. It was unforgettable and beastfully amazing ! The characters were easily connected and felt super real. The humor, the suspense, the mystery, the magic, the hocus pocus it's all so good! It's a world I would be delighted to jump into.

It Was Me All Along 

Coming from a background of having an eating disorder myself, the book was easily connected to and it felt like I was reading my own story. It's about a girl who suffered from a unhealthy relationship with food. From being over weight and binge eating to dieting to binge eating again. It was an endless cycle but the author got through it and shared her story in a book. Now, I'll share mine.

Since young, I had a poor relationship with food. I would wake up thinking about breakfast and once breakfast was gone, I will be thinking about lunch, then snack then dinner. It was a non stop cycle of continuously thinking of food. When I turned 12 and hit puberty, I realize body change and that's when I started watching what I eat. I would eat in moderation for lunch then for dinner I could get two or three bowls of rice. I would starve or restrict myself for days if I knew I would attend a party or buffet later that week. I would eat as much as I can, have seconds and thirds plus three cakes if I wanted on celebrations and parties. I was never stressed with food and what I put into my mouth but when I was done eating, I look at the plates and instantly felt guilty. I would tell myself.
"Okay, no more. Start our diet tomorrow." And it did, just for tomorrow. The following day, the cycle continued. I wasn't obese, or overweight, I was just fat for my age.

I was bullied and called at when I was in middle school. At first I didn't much care what people say. Yes, I took those words into perspective but it never really hit me. Up until high school. I was depressed, I was stress over school and grade but most of all, I was aiming to be perfect. I want to be called, pretty, thin, skinny, I wanted to be able to walk into Top Shop and try on any kind of clothing and fell good. I wanted to not hate what I see in the mirror every morning and cry to sleep each night.

It was a dark path from there onward. I remember hating myself and refused to look into the mirror, I remember going on numerous diets. I remember watching Youtube videos on healthy eating and all sorts of workout. I remember waking up in the middle of the night worrying what I would eat when sun rises. I remember counting the number of Cheerios in my cereal. I remember hating week ends because I had to wake up early and go for runs. I remember running for an hour but still feel like it wasn't enough to cover my shame of being fat. I remember watching my sisters having ice cream and chocolate but still remain skinny while I would feel bloated and left with guilt.

After 3 months, I lost weight and I was so happy but fear slowly planted its seeds in me. I fear that if I have a cookie, I would gain weight. I fear that if I don't wake up and go for a run, I would be fat. I fear that if I eat later then 7 o clock at night, I could have a belly and muffin tops. This fear lead me to think that I wasn't enough. That whatever I do, I will never be enough. My friend actually saw my unhealthy relationship with food, the way I would ask if I ate too much or if I'd too much calories. She asked me to see a dietitian or a nutritionist. My biggest mistake was that I didn't take her advice to mind before it was too late. Slowly, I develop an eating disorder and was anorexic for almost a year. People around me start asking why I have gone so thin, how I lost so much weight and had I been taking diet pills. It was a trigger, let me tell ya. I usually avoid those questions with just a smile and walk away. People said I was thin but to me, I was still fat.

Now looking back, I remember being thin. I remember counting every single little calories, from salt to pepper, I remember waking up at 4 am to workout and went for a run at 6 because I thought I could lose some more weight, I remember doing lunges and squats while reading or doing my homework, I remember not being able to walk up stairs to my class room because I simple didn't have enough energy, I remember reading about weight loss and eating as little as 800 calories a day. Still, I remember feeling that it wasn't enough, that I was never going to be good enough.

I seek help, I reached out for people around me because I finally could not take it. A year now, full of ups and downs in recovery, I finally got to a healthy weight. Tho now, I still concern what I eat but I always will tell myself in the back of my head that, food is fuel. No food is good and no food is bad. I was the one categorizing them into groups and I was the one abusing them along with my body. I, now eat oatmeal for breakfast, sweet potatoes or vegan soup for lunch and a hearty home cook dinner with family. I allow myself to have treats once a while, ice cream, cookies, chocolate or anything I was craving. Most importantly, I learn to consume them in moderation because whats life without gingerbread man cookies? (my favorite treat btw !)

My advice, no diet is your diet. You just have to have the guts to experiment with different food, the way you eat and move and most importantly, the way you feel. Be happy the way you are because you will always be enough .

Spicy Vegan Veggie Burger || Healthy Eats

Spicy Vegan Veggie Burger


3 oz extra firm tofu
1/2 tomato
1/2 onion
1/3 cucumber
2 lettuce leaves
1 whole wheat thin bun
1 tbsp Sriracha
Hot sauce


1. On a hot pan, drizzle some oil and grill the tofu
2. then add in the onion of the other side of the pan.
3. Let both of them cook for a little. Then add Sriracha and salt to the onions. Sautéed them for another 2 minutes or so.
4.Assemble your burger !

Beautiful Creature Book Review

Its about a boy, Ethan, who constantly have this dream of a  girl and finally one day, he met her. And she wasn't really who he thought she was. She was Lena Duchannes, niece of Macon Ravenwood who was the town's mystery man ,so rich but never leaves the house. So Lena goes to the same school as Ethan and same class as well. Ethan felt a connection with Lena, a way that he did not understand , they could talk and communicate with each other just by thinking and the weirdest part is they have the same dream. It wasn't an ordinary dream, it was always about a girl, falling, a man dying, and blood everywhere. They didn't have the answer nor did they willingly to admit it. Lena was a caster, meaning she have magic powers but was uncertain if she was Dark or Light. Casters are "Claimed" when they turn 16. Lena always was afraid what she would become so she kept her distance. Until they found a locket.
Each time they touch it together, they fall into this mysterious dream or a vision of a girl. She was Lena's great grand mother who was a Light, but to bring her soul mate Ethane back to life, she cast a spell. Every spell comes with a price. She became Dark, but that was not all, every girl from her generation onwards will be cursed. Lena was devastated and lost all hope that  she might be with good.
The Dark was coming after her, her heart longs for a peace simple life with Ethan, her soul knows it was too much to ask and worst of all, someone was trying to kill her. Someone dark, someone who wanted her dead so badly, and someone who knows her so well that she was picking every last nerve of Lena. The Darkest Caster alive, Lena's mother. Now she has to decide, she has to choose between Light and Dark. Is she chooses Light, all the Dark will die, including her uncle who has been protecting her since she was born. If she choose Dark, then all the Light will die including her own personality and her believe. She would no longer be herself nor will she feel the way she feel now, her world will turn dark and sinister.
This book is definitely a good read over the cold winter holidays, it has a nice combination of humor, love , mystery and fantasy. The character Ethan was strong and determine, full of passion while Lena was brave and realistic. The characters felt real and the story line was complete but also have some holes for more mysteries that yet haven't been discover.

As I have been experimenting with vegan lifestyle I came to wonder what is really vegan? So I got some advice from and work with a few of the others vegan and healthy eaters to discuss this. Actually there are more types of vegan/vegetarian then we think we know. Vegan isn't about eating salads or drinking smoothies all day. It can be fun and interesting too. Now here's the difference between VEGANS and VEGETARIANS


Veganism is a philosophy and compassionate lifestyle whose adherents seek to exclude the use of animals for food, clothing, or any other purpose. Vegans endeavor not to use or consume animal products of any kind.Vegans do not consume meat, eggs, milk, honey or any food that is derived from animals. They also do not use any animal derived products, e.g. fur, leather, wool, etc. Do not condone the use of animal testing.


Vegetarianism is the practice of a diet that excludes meat (including game and slaughter by-products; fish, shellfish and other sea animals; and poultry). There are several variants of the diet, some of which also exclude eggs.Do not eat meat or fish. Some do consume dairy and some vegetarians consume eggs. Lacto-vegetarian: eating dairy products. Ovo-vegetarian: eating eggs. They do not eat gelatin or other animal by products.While vegetarians do not eat meat, most vegetarians do not mind using other animal-derived products, e.g. fur, leather, or wool.

Different types of Vegan/Vegetarians


People who adopt a lacto-vegetarian diet abstain from all meat products, including eggs, but continue to eat dairy products. The advantage to this form of vegetarianism is you’re less likely to develop a calcium deficiency due to the inclusion of calcium rich milk products.

Lacto-ovo vegetarianism

Lacto-ovo vegetarians avoid all meat but allow themselves to eat both dairy products and eggs. The inclusion of eggs and milk makes it easier to maintain calcium and protein levels and is, in general, an easier form of vegetarianism to adapt to, particularly if you eat out a great deal. 


One of the least restrictive forms of vegetarianism is the pescatarian lifestyle where you avoid all meat products with the exception of fish. Many people don’t consider pescatarians to be true vegetarians since they allow themselves to eat seafood. They also consume dairy products and eggs.


Flexitarian is a relatively new term for a type of “on and off” vegetarian who eats a basic lacto-ovo vegetarian diet with the addition of meat products on occasion.

 Raw vegan/Raw food diet

A raw vegan diet consists of unprocessed vegan foods that have not been heated above 115 degrees Fahrenheit (46 degrees Celsius). “Raw foodists” believe that foods cooked above this temperature have lost a significant amount of their nutritional value and are harmful to the body.

Sweet Potato vs Yam and their Benefits || Healthy Eats

As a Chinese, I grew up eating sweet potatoes as dessert, as a meal, as a snack. It shocks me that I know so little of this amazing food. SO what are the difference and have we been buying the wrong stuff all along ?

What's a Sweet Potato?

There are many varieties of sweet potatoes, which come from the morning glory family. Skin color can range from white and yellow to red, purple and brown, while the flesh can be white, yellow, orange or even orange-red. These vegetables have an elongated shape with tapered ends.

Among the numerous varieties of sweet potatoes grown in the U.S. there are two major types:

Firm sweet potatoes, which have golden skin and paler flesh.
Soft sweet potatoes, which have copper skin and orange flesh.
The two types of sweet potatoes cook differently. After cooking firm sweet potatoes still remain firm and a little waxy, while the soft variety becomes creamy, fluffy, and moist.

What's a Yam?

Yams have a cylindrical shape with blackish or brown, bark-like skin and white, purple or reddish flesh. Compared to sweet potatoes, yams are starchier and drier. True yams can be tough to find.

Benefit of Sweet Potatoes

  • They are a good source of vitamin C that plays an important role in bone and tooth formation, digestion, and blood cell formation. It helps accelerate wound healing, produces collagen which helps maintain skin’s youthful elasticity, and is essential to helping us cope with stress. It even appears to help protect our body against toxins that may be linked to cancer.

  • They contain Vitamin D that plays an important role in our energy levels, moods, and helps to build healthy bones, heart, nerves, skin, and teeth, and it supports the thyroid gland.

  • Sweet potatoes contain iron. Most people are aware that we need the mineral iron to have adequate energy, but iron plays other important roles in our body, including red and white blood cell production, resistance to stress, proper immune functioning, and the metabolizing of protein, among other things.

  • Controls blood sugar and maintaining energy

  • Source of Vitamin A. This vitamin helps improve skin and hair growth. They encourage healthy, glowing skin and collagen growth

  • Blood Sugar and Weight Control. Yams' complex carbohydrates and fiber deliver the goods gradually, slowing the rate at which their sugars are released and absorbed into the bloodstream. In addition, because they're rich in fiber, yams fill you up without filling out your hips and waistline. 

  • A good source of manganese,

  • Yam contains small amounts of vitamin-A that maintains healthy mucus membranes and skin, night vision, growth and protection from lung and oral cavity cancers.

  • It contains Vitamin C that plays an important roles in anti-aging, immune function, wound healing, and bone growth.

  • Yam is particularly useful for menopausal women.  It contains an enzyme that provides a natural alternative to hormonal replacement in women who have reached menopause.Wild yam is also known to support the female endocrine system. Legend Book Series Review

Days was the top wanted people in the whole country. The problem was, he didn't do anything wrong nor had he broken any rules, tho the government saw him as a threat. He was a lab rat, a lab rat that succeed the procedure, a procedure that killed ever kid who was tested on it, he was a survivor.

Tess was a rich girl who is taken cared by her brother after her parents died. Tess was smart, beautiful and perfect. One day, her brother got killed and she suspected Days. A young girl, nearly graduating, was out to find the country most dangerous and wanted person, Days, that the military could not even lay their hands on. Tho, Tess was smart, too smart. So she found him. Only then when getting to know him, she highly suspect that he was the one who killed her brother. But it was too late, armies, military and the government has already capture him because she lead them to him , because she was too cleaver that she was blinded by the truth. Days didn't kill her brother.

Holding on to what she believed in, she has to find a way to break Day out of jail. Tess trusted the government until she found out that the government were using them on test, using kids as experiments. It made her sick to find out that her own parents were killed because they went against the government. She was furious and that drive burn bright in her soul. She was now more determined to help Days, and to destroy the whole government.

People were willing to help but with a cost. Tess and Days has to find out who can be trusted and who was a piece of checker. Who was safe and who was the devil.

This book took me out of my seat! It is very exciting and the story line was absolutely memorizing. This book made me want to learn more of politics, which surprisingly, I never thought I would. A very nicely written book that is both moving and thrilling.

15 Food That Banish Bloat

1. Bananas
They may feel heavy but they don't make you gain weight but the opposite !

2. Cantaloupe
This fruit is full of anti-bloating potassium, low in calories and high in water content, so you can get away with eating a lot !

3. Leafy Greens
Examples are spinach, lettuce, Brussels sprouts, Artichokes, asparagus, celery and broccoli

4. Avocado
It if filled with healthy, filling monounsaturated fats. Spread it on a piece of toast if you are not use ti eating it raw and straight up.

5. Grains
Brown rice, quinoa, lentils, oats are all good to easy to bloating

6. Yogurt
Plain Greek yogurt are a good choice of snack to have during the mid day as they are rice in good bacteria that promotes gut health and makes your digestive track run smoothly

7. Fatty Fish
Salmon is my favorite fish, (if you hadn't notice) but besides that it has lots and lots of healthy, filling omega 3 fatty acid. Translate that to a non nutritional term is that fatty fish are actually less likely to be stored as belly fats.

8. Apples
You know when you have an apple, you immediately fill full and bloated? Well actually you aren't. Apple contains lots of fiber so having them before meals are nice if you are trying to keep your meals light.

9. Berries
I could eat a handful of berries and feel like I had a meal. Its so filling and full of antioxidant!

We all been there where we have a full bowl of watermelon and feel like we could keep eating but then when you stop for a few minutes, you feel super boated. This is because watermelon contains so much water and fiber. 98% is water. no wonder we feel bloated. But have no fear guys, melons are good and low in calories. No need to restrict them.

11. Egg
Eggs are filled with protein which wards off the urge to nosh. Scientist discovered that having eggs can help you eat less through out the day.

12. Nuts
Nuts are good source of protein and healthy fats. They keep you full and energized during those mid days where we just need a pick me up.

13 Tomatoes.
This fruit is high in potassium that it get rid of the belly-bloating sodium that we sometimes have. Plus, they also reverse leptin resistance that helps define those waistlines of yours.

14. Cucumber
Need I say more? These are mostly water content and keep you full when munching on them !

15. Egg plants
This veggie is very low in sodium and high in water so it helps fight bloating.

Bones & All

A novel with a touch of horror that leads you to a world of fantasy and a promising dark classic.

This book is about a girl, Maren, who has a dark secret , a secret that she herself was uncertain for. She did dark things, she knew it but she couldn't help it. She eats flesh;- human flesh. Her first was her babysitter and her mother freaked out. Since then, she was never left alone with anyone but that didn't last long. People make mistakes and accidents happen. She killed her first sweetheart, Luke. She killed her mother's manager's son. When her mother left her because she was scared and terrified of Maren, her own daughter, who was a monster. Maren packed up her things in search for her father, hoping that she was not alone with this dark secret, hoping tat her father was some what like her, hoping she could find a comfort of home again and hoping she could have answers to her darkest secret. 

-Spoiler Alert-
Maren then met Sully on her way. Sully was a hundred year old man who was her kind. Now, she knew she wasn't alone and she knew there was still hope. Sully was kind to her and advice her not to waste her time finding her father but Maren was determined so she left. Then she met Lee, who helped her along the was to find her father. She learnt many things about Lee and they grew closer together. Lee never liked Sully and warned Maren about him. Finally Maren found her father, he was in a mental hospital. She visited him and all her questions, all her endless questions were answered. When Maren had no where else to go, she went to Sully after she chased Lee away. Like what Lee had said, Sully wasn't a simple kind man who was willing to help a little girl in need. Maren learnt the true secret behind Sully's story that could kill her. And it almost did.

This book is utterly beautiful and nicely written. It makes us, fantasy-lovers craving for more. This book reminds me of the dark tales people used to told stories about but with a twist. The character Maren is a strong girl with intelligent mind and generous heart. She is easy to connect to and her character felt so real and alive. This book is brutally brilliant and unforgettable that leaves you wondering at night and even in your meals. 

This book is an advanced readers' edition that was sent to me by Minotaur Books. It will be on sale and in stores on March 2015 so mark your calender guys, it's a book worth every penny !

Today, I will be talking and explaining to you about the Top 5 Healthy Eating Myth ! Believe it or not, it's true!

1. Eggs are bad for you because it is high is cholesterol

a. Egg yolk are the only ones with high HEALTHY cholesterol.
b. If you are a healthy and normal person, just eat the damn egg. Egg YORK are only not recommended to people with super high cholesterol.

Eggs are so good for you. They are fit foods that build muscles and help your nervous system

2 Carbohydrate makes you fat

Note: There’s no question that loading up on sugary and refined-carbohydrate-rich foods, such as white bread, pasta and doughnuts, can raise your risk of developing health problems like heart disease and diabetes. But if you cut out so-called “good-carb” foods, such as whole grains, beans, fruits and vegetables, you’re missing out on your body’s main source of fuel as well as vital nutrients and fiber. What’s more, for many people, a low-carb diet may be harder to stick with in the long run.

Everything we eat is carbs, fruits, vegetables, oats! When you break it down to just oat or fruits or vegetables, you can say they are healthy but really, they are all under the same family-carbs.

3. Calories eaten at night are more fattening than those eaten early in the day.

Your body doesn't have a watch. Your body doesn't know when the sun is up or when it's twilight. Your body only knows that it is hungry or full and if it needs food for fuel. That is it. Eating at night wont make you fat. Only watch what you eat because if you eat too much, you tend to find it difficult to sleep at night and feel really bloated. But you don't get fat or anything. Its not what time you eat, it is what you eat.

4. You have to count calories to lose weight

Your body is not a number. An apple is 100 calories and an oreo cookie is 60 calories. Don't tell me that eating an apple will make you fat. Value nutrition more then calories. Calories is a unit of energy your body needs. FYI, if people tell them you need 1200 a day to lose weight, ignore them.1200 Calories is for a new born baby. Woman under 25 years old need 3000 calories a day and 3500 for men. Why so much calories? Well, where do I start? You muscle need to move in order for you to move, your lungs need to contract and relax so you can breath, your brain needs to function for you to think, you body is growing everyday creating new cells and your heart requires calories (energy) to beep. See you dont realize that your body needs it, just because you didn't go for a run or didn't go to the gym, doesn't mean your body stop functioning.

5. Cheat days are bad and will ruin your diet

Cheat days, if you hadn't know already, is a day where you eat whatever you are craving. So lets say you eat healthy from Sundays to Fridays and on Saturdays, you have pizza or ice cream or anything you crave. Having a cheat day is not that bad, it keeps you sane and it actually motivates you, looking forward to the next workout and the next healthy meal. If one person goes on for months or even weeks without cheat meals, then he will be restricting himself and focusing too much on healthy eating. And if luck isn't at your side, this obsession of healthy eating all the time can lead to orthorexia and eating disorder.

After Light Book Review

The people are hunting them, the government wants them dead, and it was up to them to save their ass.
Last two book was a wild rice from being in prison camp to fighting battles. Ruby and Cole caught Clancy and chain him up, digging information from him of his mother who was finding the "cure". Truth is, there wasn't any cure, just a device the government will plant into a small kid's brain so they wont be able to use their powers. The whole disease started with the government and now they are punishing the kids for their own mistake. The government wanted to experiment, so they place a chemical substance in drinking water with the main consumers were kids and pregnant women. Over generation, genetic mutation was formed and the ability of the kids begin to rise above the surface.
Ruby has been having endless sleep and migraines. Clancy was playing with her mind, moving her around, getting information for him and planning his escape like a little toy, a checkmate. Before Ruby could put together the missing pieces, it was too late, Clancy called back up, well, Ruby did, under Clancy's control. Because of that, Cole walked into a trap and was killed. Ruby couldn't face Liam or herself.  Now, Ruby has to go back to her nightmare, her camp, her room, her cell. She has to, to save her friends and to stop people from testing the kids like lab rats.So she head back into the camp, not because of guilt but because she wants to finish this. She wants to finish what she had believed in, what Cole had been putting effort on, and what all the kids in camp has been wishing each night before bed. Freedom.
In the end, they were still infected but they were all free.
